A large delegation of school board members from Colorado attended meetings with our state
legislators. They requested bipartisan support of bills that promote public education and equitable
funding that ensure our graduates are ready for the future academic and career success. The group
specifically asked for support to:
Maximize and prioritize the Federal investment in IDEA, ESSA, Title 1 and Title 11 grants for educators, re-authorization of Carl Perkins Career and Technical Education funding to help districts create opportunities for our students, oppose the FCC’s decision to eliminate Net Neutrality, and support reasonable legislation to provide pathways to citizenship for our DACA students and staff.
